Do you love a challenge?

I know I do as it keeps me producing crafts that I never thought I could ever make! A Challenge is a good way to learn new things and forge your way to a whole new skill set. So Let’s get started!

What is this Challenge All About?

My knitting family is either at the beginning stages or mastery stage when it comes to creating patterns and knowing how to perfect any knitting stitch. My skill is beginner but I do have a master knitter to lean on. We decided to put on this challenge so anyone could learn to knit or perfect their skill during this challenge.

The challenge has been broken down into 3 parts. Each one creates it’s own challenge in itself.

Part 1: Knit a sweater for a teddy bear

Part 2: Knit a sweater for a pet (cat, dog, etc.)

Part 3: Knit a sweater for a member of your family (it could be you).

The Challenge Pattern

You can use your own pattern, if you wish, we will provide a simple pattern to get you started or to use as your challenge pattern.

Wool Central

This might be the time where you can use up some of that wool stash or remnants you have hidden away. There are no rules around what wool to use. Scraps are ideal for the teddy bear and perhaps the pet sweater. For yourself, choose something that will make your skin feel smooth and wonderful. Corriedale or Merino wools are great to the feel and knit well. (Just a suggestion!)

What is in it for you?

So let’s get started.
