Are you ready for Valentine’s Day?
Valentine’s Day does not mean you have to spend on anyone! For us, it means making sure we spend the time together and often that means with family. Now if you are on your own, it is the time to reward yourself for all that you have accomplished during the year. And giving something handmade or making something special is the perfect way to celebrate.
I love Valentine’s Day and mostly because I love designing things with hearts. Making boxes and filling them with treats for my grandchildren is a real reward for me. And as far as my husband goes, he just loves to go out and try a new restaurant (or two). Did I mention he is a real foodie and loves to cook? So this year, as in other years, I won’t find out where we are going until an hour before we leave home.
Speaking of eating out, today (Saturday) is the Lunar New Year and there are big celebrations with dragons and parades. This is going to be the year of the Dragon. The best part is partaking in a special meal (we did ours on Thursday night with our Rotary Club). It is so much fun having a group of people in a room and sharing a delicious meal. Our Rotary Club in Yaletown always finds a way to make the Lunar New Year Special.
We really don’t need a reason to go out to a restaurant but celebrations make it easier to plan.
Speaking of planning, we are now getting ready for our Spring 3D Paper Crafts Summit which is being held March 21-23. Planning does take time and we have 24 speakers lined up and would love to have a few more. If you are interested in being one of our speakers or know someone who would be a great speaker, just let me know by hitting reply. Any suggestions are very welcome.
